Hi, friends! Happy first day of December and welcome to our holiday home tour. This is the third and final Blogger Stylin’ Home Tour for the year hosted by the sweet Lindsay of The White Buffalo Styling Co. I’m truly lucky to participate in these tours with so many talented bloggers. This time there is 37 bloggers with all different styles sharing how they decorate their home for the holidays. If you’re here from Simple Stylings, welcome! Summer’s style is similar to mine so I always LOVE what she does.
For the holidays I stuck with the same philosophy as I did for fall and kept décor neutral and simple. I like to rearrange and swap décor often so it’s best when everything is pretty neutral so I can mix and match. This is the first year I got to decorate our home for the holidays so I had to buy a few new items. The faux fur tree skirt is super soft and the stockings and tree topper are TJMaxx finds.
Target and Pottery Barn had super cute ornaments, but $3 an ornament adds up fast so I decided to make my own. I had some left over spray paint from my mercury glass vase tutorial so I sprayed some clear bulbs I got for a quick ornament update.
The icicles on the tree are another super easy DIY using Borax. You can find the tutorial here. Years ago my mom made snowflakes from Borax and after seeing these icicles from Pottery Barn, the Borax idea popped in my head. It’s crazy how well it actually works for an $8 box of laundry detergent! The crystal votives on the coffee table are also a result of the Borax project.
The faux fur garland is simply a string of faux fur balls from Hobby Lobby strung on twine.
And family, if you’re wondering which present is yours, only one of the presents is actually real, so you’re not in the clear yet ;)
