I’m back today with my third DIY post for Divine Caroline. If you missed one and two, check out the DIY chandelier and DIY plaid phone case. This feather clutch was inspired by the Kate Spade feather clutch. I saw it and immediately knew I could recreate it to make my own affordable version. I would probably add more feathers if I had some, so that’s something to keep in mind for those interested in making this clutch. I used one yard for a clutch about eight inches wide. The cute feather clutch is such a cute addition to your outfit when going to a fun dinner with friends, or perfect for NYE festivities.
And if you’d like some awesome pinnable photos, see the step by step photo below. I hope you are all enjoying the holiday spirit and spending time with family and friends. We had Christmas with my family, a few aunts and uncles and cousins this past weekend in Des Moines. I’m one of five kids so our get-togethers are quite big and rare because it’s hard to coordinate everyone’s schedule. On Saturday we had a delicious dinner, opened presents, and played the popular game, Heads Up. It was HILARIOUS. There was lots of yelling, diving, jumping, and some inappropriate gesturing. I pride myself on knowing an embarrassing amount of celebrity pop culture (thanks E! News) so the superstars category was my favorite. Our team dominated and we all had a blast. I strongly suggest playing it at your holiday family gathering (all you have to do is download the app on your phone), but only when the little ones aren’t sleeping. :) On Sunday we celebrated my niece’s first birthday! She’s technically not one until January, but with everyone together we decided to celebrate her birthday too. I can’t believe she is one year old already! She’s such a cutie and so fun to play with.
Have a great day and thanks for reading!
