*DIY chandelier tutorial coming in a couple weeks.
Welcome to another edition of One Room Challenge! For some reason I was thinking this was week 4 and I had two more weeks before the big reveal. That just gives you a little idea of what my week’s been this week…which also explains the lone photos…and now the added stress knowing I have to finish this in seven days. Yikes.
Catch up on the previous weeks here:
Week 1 – inspiration photos
Week 2 – shopping guide
Week 3 – gallery wall
Week 4 – Rearrangement + Target finds
Thanks for your feedback last week on the rugs! The yellow rug had the most votes which actually surprised me a little. I thought for sure the floral print was going to win, but it ended up getting no votes! Shows what I know :) Anyway, the more and more I thought about it, I was afraid the blue would clash with the aqua ottomans, so that was out. The yellow rug sold out in the 4×6 size, and I was a little afraid of it being too bright, so I went with this more subdued West Elm rug that still has a pop of yellow.
Besides choosing a rug, I finally picked up the yellow pillow I was eyeing at Target. I also tackled a DIY chandelier that turned out nicely. Unfortunately, I have to wait another week and a half to reveal the full tutorial, so just the photo will do for now. I will say it’s mess-free and foolproof! I still need to hang the gallery wall, style the shelves, and wait for the rug to arrive.
On an unrelated note, yesterday I did my first live Google+ hangout! For ShopSense, we put together a 30 minute hangout with blogging strategies, SEO tips (including a plugin you MUST download!), and some important holiday stats regarding affiliate marketing. It’s great for any blogger that’s looking to improve, especially if you’re new to affiliates. You can watch the recorded hangout here. You’ll have to excuse my “mad” face. Apparently I need to work on that.
Have a great weekend and happy halloween! Don’t forget to check out the other ORC participants here.
