Isn’t it funny how fragrances can trigger certain memories? The moment I smell lilacs I’m reminded of my summers as a kid playing on the swing set and jumping on the trampoline on our farm. Then there’s the smell of my mom’s famous scotcharoos (peanut butter rice crispy treats topped with chocolate deliciousness) that we have at every holiday and celebration. And anytime I smell Axe it brings me back to 8th grade where the locker hallway was drenched in bad cologne.
I am a believer in the power of a good fragrance, especially in my home. I’m slightly addicted actually. Which explains why I want candles burning all the time and get hooked on a scent when I find one I really love. Right now I’m loving Blooming Peony & Cherry by Glade for my home. It’s a perfect balance between the two so it’s not too sweet or overpowering, but still bright and cheery for spring. It really puts me in the mood for a sunny spring afternoon relaxing and sipping tasty drinks.
Do you have a fragrance that reminds you of a favorite childhood memory? What makes you feel most excited for spring?
This post is made in partnership with Glade. Thank you for supporting the brands I love that make this blog possible.
