Did you have a good weekend? Wine country did not disappoint once again. We tasted some great wines, toured the countryside, and enjoyed some delicious crab cakes. On Sunday I caught up on emails and made a run to Target to pick up a few things. When I lived in Iowa, Target trips happened almost weekly, but now I’m lucky to go every month. My wallet is probably thanking me. What do you think of the new Altuzarra for Target line? At first I wasn’t impressed because the designs seemed a bit over-priced for what they were. The stuff was pretty picked over in the store, but I did find this python tee online that is cute. I also picked up this dress (under $30! Runs big.) that is perfect for fall with a sweater and black booties.
Recently I discovered new to me textured paints by Ralph Lauren. Available in suede, antique leather, metallic, rock river, and denim textures with a range of colors, the paint is designed to have a textural look just by applying the paint with a specific technique. Using a suggested roller sponge, it creates a faux texture that actually looks as if it was suede or denim. I’m all about texture in homes and I love that you can now have it on the walls without wallpaper! The paints appear surprisingly luxurious and I’m a little obsessed. The denim is perfect for a beachy nautical home, and I think the metallic would look great in a pretty bathroom.
I’m already brainstorming where I can use these paints just so I can try them out myself. Which is your favorite? Would you try them in your home? View more textured paints here.
